SCREENING PLAGIARISM

The Katarsis Journal Editorial Board is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ethical publishing standards. To ensure that submitted manuscripts are free from any form of plagiarism, all papers will undergo a thorough screening process. The editorial team utilizes Grammarly® to detect potential instances of textual overlap, improper paraphrasing, and citation inconsistencies. Additionally, Turnitin is employed to scan the manuscripts against a vast repository of academic publications, student papers, and web content. The combination of these two tools enhances the reliability and accuracy of the plagiarism detection process. Authors are expected to submit original work, and any article found to contain significant similarity may be returned or rejected.

The use of both Grammarly® and Turnitin reflects the journal’s proactive stance in preventing academic misconduct. Grammarly® provides real-time suggestions for improving citation quality and reducing unintentional plagiarism. Meanwhile, Turnitin offers detailed similarity reports that help editors evaluate the originality of a manuscript. The editors analyze these reports carefully before proceeding to the peer-review stage. Authors will be notified if revisions are needed to eliminate potential overlaps or improper referencing. This policy helps safeguard the credibility of Katarsis Journal and ensures that all published content upholds the principles of scholarly honesty.
